I forgot how much I love listening to music from old Nintendo games. Right now I’m listening to Mega Man 2 - Metal Man. Awwwww yea =P I need to beef up my video game music collection. Ooo, that reminds me, I have the music from Final Fantasy VII. Time to give that a listen =)

I too share your love for gaming music. Check out VGMusic.com - it’s got thousands of midi files, as well as remixes. If you want really good remixes, I suggest the work of Dr. Fruitcake.

Old videogame music is really catchy, they couldn’t do much more than the main melody, so they had to make a really catchy tune.
Videogame music is often way under appreciated.
Hey, your mom sounds cool. For all the game music lovers, I personally have always liked the theme from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tv show. My kids and I used to turn the volume up on the tv way high and dance around the living room. Heroes in a half shell! Turtle power!!

My personal fave is actually the Fire Man stage from Megaman 2. Oh, and the music from Bionic Commando. Capcom had it going on in the late 80’s!
