I Like To Climb
As I was leaving work yesterday, I heard a bunch of fire trucks and sirens and all that stuff, which is pretty typical. But then when I got outside, I noticed that everyone was stopped on the sidewalks and pointing up. That isn’t typical. I tried to follow other people’s pointed fingers to what exactly everyone was looking at. First thing I thought was that it was someone on a roof about to jump, so I looked around at the roofs. Nothing (luckily). I looked around at the sides of all the buildings and then there he was, Mr Orange Pants, climbing up the side of the New York Times building.
At that point, he was about 30 stories up and still climbing. I watched him for about a minute until I decided that I didn’t wanna see him fall if he did, so I stopped watching and continued on
The funniest part is that he was the second guy to climb it that day! I was totally unaware of the first man until later when I read some news stories.

Only in New York City.

That’ll show malaria who’s boss.

*insert Spiderman-related comment*
I like how they denounce the climbers as doing something insanely dangerous, and are escorted off by police with helmets and body harnesses, when not that many years ago skyscrapers in NYC were built by workers just as high up and with no safety equipment at all.

You may risk your life here, but only if we’re paying you to construct a skyscraper with our name on it, not if you’re using our building for something selfish like hoisting an anti-malaria banner.
Come on, climbing skyscrapers is fun. You’ve never done it?

Blame it on the TV. they say Do not try this at home. they don’t say anything about trying it in the city centre.
