Failed Marriage Proposals

My friend showed me a failed marriage proposal video and I thought it was hilarious! I might be a bad person because of it, but I gathered as many failed marriage proposal videos (and audio clips) as I could find.

Enjoy =P

I really shouldn't find this hilarious.

    But I do. :D

  2. Mike Chapman says:

Dear God, that was possibly the most hilarious thing I've ever seen in my life.

Personally, I think it's just stupid and rude to propose to someone in front of a bunch of people, or really anyone. It puts to much pressure to say yes. It should be done in private, so that they can say yes or no and why and no one is publicly humiliated.

That said, I'm glad that someone went ahead and did it anyway so that I could laugh at them.

Justin, we are indeed horrible people.

  3. Sakimori says:

Good grief, that last one was absolutely HILARIOUS!

It probably wouldn't have lasted anyway. I mean, if a guy can't figure out what a girl means when she tells him exactly what it is she wants ("we talked about this" and "you know I want to be wined and dined for this"), what hope is there that he might understand her the other 99.99% of the time. I sincerely hope they didn't work it out.

I'm glad to see that I am such a positive influence in your life :)

Why is every second commenter screaming "faaake"? Is it not possible for someone to refuse a proposal?

  6. Pinka says:

OMG! womanizing sandwich man!! we meet again! unless there are two of you?

yeah what were those guys thinking?! a basketball game? pfft. the proposal is supposed to be about the girl, its supposed to be special and romantic and in a way intimate? ooh and that guy in the third one is just plain nuts. he is also my favourite. but i also really liked the audio.

its just too damn funny watching the chick run off humiliated and the poor guy just standing there LOL.

  7. rc5 says:

    AHAHAHAHAHA

    YES. Sooo funny!

Especially the one where she walks away slowly and then she just breaks into a run. And he gets comforted by the mascot. XD

I already knew I was a horrible person though, so I'm fine. =)

  8. Scarlett says:

Whoa! Weird! I've been thinking about failed marriage proposals, too!

  9. Tall Guy says:

wow, those public proposals are just a stupid idea in the first place. if she rejects it at home or something, he will still have another chance in a couple of years, but now he has no way to live that down. imagine everyone watching…..

    RE: the comic

This brings a whole new meaning to "Here Comes the Sun".

  11. Fiesta Chicka says:

personally i'm glad that every one of those girls said no, those dumb guys should never put a girl on the spot. i would have slapped him!

  12. Moop :D says:

That last radio show thing was really fake sounding. Those two were totally acting and it's very obvious at many points. Pretty much all those radio show pranks are faked. They simply phone-in actors and give them a quick premise

  16. Triptaphane says:

I think I understand the whole 'in front of a sea of strangers' proposal idea.

It's to show the chick that this dude has the cohones to be all gushy-gushy romantic in front of whoever, whenever.

So for the big question, he'll admit his feelings in the eyes of a huge-ass crowd.

'Cause often (but not always), men are reluctant to be that lovey-dovey in public.

However, it could also be taken as trying to shame the girl into saying yes.

So it's hard to tell what's really goin' on.

But also, aren't guys taught by horrible romantic movies that the more extravagant a proposal, the better?

Whoops. Guess that really is just a Hollywood myth.

  17. Lea says:

Why is it that strangers misery is so funny? i needed that laugh! thanks!

  18. Lauren says:

haha, dude, I watched all of those,

    It was horrible : (

But they should have never put someone on the spot like that,

    Maybe they deserved it X3

  19. J 4 JOKES says:

In two words – simply hilarious!

    :)

  20. Kav P says:

Wonderful. These kind of stunts are not only embarrassing for the couple but also the people who let them do it, which is fine by me.

If you're in the mood, a similar announcement made but with the television hosts' discomfort in mind.

Keep up the great work with the comics, they're rather amusing.

  21. Kav P says:

Wow, don't know how I buggered up that link, but I sure managed. Whoops.
