My(Justin is me.  I’m Justin) art has changed a whole lot over the past five years.  Originally, all my comics had boxes drawn around them and usually had either a rectangle man and/or a trapezoid man.  They also were kinda sloppy, since I just started drawing lefty.  Just look at this one from January 18th, 2007.  Dang, that looks so different!

Eventually trapezoid man evolved into another rectangle man and the boxes around the comics disappeared.  Here’s a comic from November 25, 2008 that shows that stuff going on.

The next step in my drawing style change you ask?  Well, that would be when the characters started having eyebrows of course!  They wouldn’t always be there, but when they were, you knew it. The John! comics (this one from May 6th, 2010) really put those angry eyebrows to good use.

And then, things just started looking a lot cleaner from then on.  The text got more readable (I switched to a tablet), the lines got cleaner and it really started looking like the LHT that I draw today =)

And that was a quick journey through five years of my drawing style!

I guess I could do a quick summary of Drew’s drawing style changes over the years too.  Here we go.  Nothing has changed!  He has always been amazing at drawing left handed!

Vivian, the awesome person in Singapore that ordered the book, made an unboxing video!  Yup, that’s her up there in the video!  I absolutely love her excitement and I couldn’t help but smile when I watched it and I hope it gives you smiles too =)

We have gotten a couple reports of this really annoying, huge pop-over ad coming up on the site for iPads from facebinks.  This is not an ad we are running.  It’s actually a rogue ad inside of one of our ad networks.  I’ve been working with them over the past couple days and it should hopefully be resolved very soon.  We aren’t even the only website having this problem either.  I’ve found several other sites having the exact same issues and complaints and it’s super lame, but we are working on it!

The LHT book has a new low low price of just $6, so buy that thing before it becomes a thing you can’t buy anymore.

    That’s just a little taste of what your eyes could be seeing if you head on over to EQcomics.  There are a lot of great comics going on over there, so you really should check them out!
  • Our friend Martey has a sweet website for gifting MP3s to awesome people you know.  If you’ve ever wanted a simple and quick way to gift a song to a friend via email or Facebook, then you should check it out!
  • My other webcomic Invisible Bread has just hit 50 comics, so if you aren’t already reading those, well it would be pretty awesome if you started!

I live on a college campus, so I’m starting to see people come back for learning times.  Fall semester starts here in three weeks, so that’s a thing that’s about to happen.  And apparently, there are some K-12 schools that have already started or are starting this week!  Dang!

What did you guys do this summer?  My big event was moving from one apartment to another apartment about a mile away.  Sometimes, you just need a little bit more space, ya know?
