Birthday/Cancer

April 25th, 2008

Hhmmm, maybe I should come up with a better title for this blog post…

It’s Drew (the not Justin). I have two things to talk about. The first is Relay For Life, which is a really great charity event that takes place at parks and schools all across the U.S., and it benefits the American Cancer Society. Relay is all about remembering people we’ve lost to cancer, and raising money on their behalf in an effort to fight the disease.

On a seemingly unrelated note, my birthday is next week! I’ll be 24, I think, which is a cool number because it’s divisible by a crap-ton of other numbers. Also, it means that next year will be a perfect square! Woohoo! Shutup! I normally wouldn’t advertise my birthday publicly, so maybe this raises questions…

“Drew, your comics are so funny, and you’ve made some of my favorite animations, how can I celebrate the greatness that is your birthday?”

Effusive though you are, it would be weird of me to ask you for birthday gifts, but I just had an idea. If you feel like it, how about you donate to my relay team? I promise, any small amount will be ridiculously appreciated.

“But Drew, I live so far away from you I think. How on Earth could I send donations?”

Using the internet! Just visit the previously linked donation page.

An even BETTER reason for you to donate is in remembrance of someone in your life affected by cancer. It’s one of the best ways to honor such a loved one.

Thank you!

-Drew

NYC Burgers

April 17th, 2008

My girlfriend and I just got back from Shake Shack in NYC. Those burgers are delicious! We ended up standing in line for about an hour but I think it was worth it. It was a nice day out too, so it was nice to be outside.

I ended up having the Shack Stack, which is, as described by the menu, a “sandwich of 2 cheeseburgers and a ‘shroom burger served with lettuce, tomato and shack sauce”. Tasty and filling. I also had a vanilla shake on top of that, so right now, I’m totally stuffed.
