Now That’s Irony

December 7th, 2007

So right after I post a blog about sleep, I end up having my busiest work week ever.

I worked from 10 am Monday until 1 pm Tuesday straight with no sleep. Then, I worked from noon Wednesday until 7:30 am Thursday, no sleep as well. Now as I type this (7 am Friday), I am still working a day which started at 5 pm Thursday. Once I leave the office (and sleep), I’ll update this with the time I actually left. Mmmmmm, sleep.

Edit1 (12:25pm Friday): Still kickin’ it at the office doing my programming thing. I wonder when it will hit me.

Edit2 (5:31pm Friday): Almost ready to leave. Kinda tired. I’m going to sleep well tonight, oh boy will I.

Is that even irony though? I always have trouble defining things that are or aren’t ironic. All I know is that rain on your wedding day is NOT ironic, it’s just unlucky.

Sleep

November 30th, 2007

I’ve been trying to get my normal hours of sleep time lately but have been failing. This week, playing Guitar Hero with my girlfriend has been keeping me up =) It’s always something though and dangit, I just can’t ever get to sleep on time!

Anyways, I’m starting to learn that I need at least 7 hours of sleep to feel good the next day. Anything less than that and I feel decently groggy at some point. How much sleep do you guys need? It would be great to be able to operate on something like 5 hours of sleep all the time, that way you would have a couple extra hours of awake time. That kind of life is not for me though because I must be an old man =P

Fun Stuff

November 19th, 2007

I don’t know if any of you guys are playing Team Fortress 2, but I am totally obsessed with it. I used to love Team Fortress Classic for Half-Life and this one is just 10 times sweeter with no lack of awesome. I’ve been playing it a lot lately, but I haven’t been slacking off on the site or anything, so don’t you worry!

On another note that isn’t computer game related, it’s almost Thanksgiving. It feels kind of odd this year because its not the last Thursday in November, but I shall still celebrate of course. I will be stuffing my face with my family on a mini Vegas vacation (my dad, however, is not Chevy Chase). Drew and I will still be posting during Thanksgiving weekend, so there still will be toonage for all!
