For some women, the first time being called "ma'am" can mark a frustrating turning point where they may feel their youth is over, and the world now regards them as old.
Exhibit A. Excuse me, young lady, you've dropped your candy.
Whoops! Thanks, mister!
Exhibit B. Excuse me, ma'am, you've dropped your checkbook.
Thanks.
Unfairly, the male equivalent, "sir", is unequivocally regarded as a title of respect and distinguishment.
Exhibit C. Excuse me, young man, you've dropped your candy.
Gee thanks, mister!
Exhibit D. Excuse me, sir, you've dropped your candy.
Gee thanks! I sure do love candy!
Me too!
Mr. Awesome Ryan Hudson from ChannelATE and I are teaming up for a new comic called Draw Until It’s Funny! This site has the awesome acronym DUIF, which I pronounce either “doof” or “dweef”.
So what we do is start with just an idea for the first panel and no joke in mind. Then we just keep on drawing until the funny comes out of our funny places. If you ever wanted to see how our minds work or like reading funny things, check out DUIF!
We will be updating every weekday. As a bonus, we will also be featuring DUIFs from other webcomicers on the weekends!
Sorry I didn’t post a comic today. It’s a U.S. Market Holiday, so I thought maybe I could also treat it like a U.S. Comic Holiday and not get too fired by you.
This weekend I got to enjoy my new rooftop. I posted some photes over at my flickr:
Unlike last year, I didn’t have a good viewing spot for the official NYC fireworks, because my friend Dave who’s stupid moved to stupid L.A. and we couldn’t hang out on his stupid rooftop again. So please re-enjoy last year’s fireworks!
It’s Memorial Day in the US, so that means it’s a day off for everyone, including us! We are both doing some mini-vacation thingies, so there is no new toonage for today. However, with my limited resources, I managed to scrounge together a toon using our old toons. Not to over-hype it, but it may very well be the best comic ever created.
