Muckety

Three things:

1. So you guys should try this site for your news.  I like it because it displays news info in a way that traditional newspapers never can (and I’m always one to kick a guy when they’re down): with interactive relational maps!  I know, right??  Seriously, they’re pretty cool.  I mean, how many of us have been reading the news and thought, “Man, I wonder how Jimi Hendrix is connected to Ronald Reagan“, or, “Scott Baio is awesome and all, but how might you connect him to the Austrian Armed Forces?”  Y’know?  At the very least, it’s a nice way to see the relevant entities in a news story, and then discover more stuff.  They even made a kinda game out of them.  Also my girlfriend works there.

2. Have you been isitfunnying us at all?

3. Since you’ve read this far, you get to see this confession: Yeah, I have one of them titter things.

The Washington Post has relational subject maps provided by evri at the bottom of their stories. I know this because it took me a few days to perfect my adblock filter that hides that useless shit. :P

    • Drew says:

Ooh, never saw those. First, jeez, the Washington Post site basically REQUIRES you to use adblock (Seriously, WP, ads that expand and cover the story make me never want to see your site again).

Second, Muckety's maps are waaay better. You can't even expand the nodes on these evri maps, and you can't see the relationships. Try the muckety ones.

Muckety feels like one of those really dangerous things where if I ever got into it, I wouldn't stop for a week and think I only spent five minutes on it.

    Omg I love Dino-egg oatmeal 2.

Is the intention of todays strip getting me to sing 'Irked worms!' to the tune of 'Jolene'? Because if it is, you have succeeded admirably.

Good ol' Greg Hargrave… Badass since day 1

    • Josh says:

I think we need to keep saying Greg Hargrave so that if Greg Hargrave decides to google his own name (Greg Hargrave) or if a friend of Greg Hargrave decides to google Greg Hargrave, he will be sent to this site and see the awesomeness of Drew's portrait of Greg Hargrave.

      • Dora says:

So being a facebook creeper and all, I actually found this Greg Hargrave in the people search thing just to confirm if the person exists. I can't stop laughing…

Do you think he'll know there's a cartoon of him!? Duuuude, you should totally randomly send him a message about it. Someone do it! I daaaaare you too! :):)
