Minecraft World 1 Wrap-up

This is going to be my futile attempt to account for everything in the original world 1 on our Minecraft server.

Here’s a shot of the overview of the very densely populated world.  Give it a click to get a bigger version.

Lots of great stuff going on!

Someone made this sweet airplane at the center of this image.  And hey, look at that, it’s a Did You Know Bat!  The plane is fully featured and includes seats and a cockpit.

Check out that leg room.

Speaking of methods of transportation:

It’s a train with a station platform!  For some reason, this keeps bringing to mind Animal Crossing.  Something about this train feels very chipper, and every single character in Animal Crossing is chipper.  Anyway!

Now here is a cool boat in some water, complete with a lighthouse.  You can see a bit of the inverted awesomeface on the far left.  It started off as the normal awesomeface but somewhere along the way, its colors were inverted.  Such is life on a Minecraft server!

There’s also this cool volcano at the corner of the map.  But wait!  It’s really just there to hide a staircase to a GIGANTIC multilevel maze built underground!  Kinda impossible to take screenshots of a maze since it’s just gonna be pictures of walls, but you gotta trust me on this.  It.  Is.  Huge.

These are two things that I built.  The first should hopefully resemble a movie theater, while the second one is some kind of amphitheatre type thing?  I was trying to make the top section seem like the sky.

Moving on!

Here is a nice opera theatre type place.  This is where Minecraftians could perform Shakespeare and recite thought-provoking poetry.  Maybe even an acapella group could perform.  The sky is the limit!

Moving back outside, here’s a spiffy castle, complete with moat and lightning.  This castle is roughly 5000 sq ft, is unfurnished and is currently being rented at 50k simoleons a month.  That’s right, you gotta pay for it in the currency of Maxis games.

If you follow the golden road that’s on the ground level, you’ll be led to a staircase that goes deep underground to an underground lair.  It has a sauna, throne room and even a room with what appears to be a giant sword!

Last, but not least.

Sprites!  Man, just look at all that.

I hope you guys are enjoying these Minecraft posts!  It’s crazy how much stuff there is!  Big thanks to all the builders that have been building on the server!

Woohoo you guys saw my train and my plane!

That makes it all worthwhile :)

For some reason as soon as I logged on to minecraft I just had this urge to build some vehicles. Alas, due to time constraints I never got round to trying to build a star destroyer in the sky. Maybe another time…
